11/11/08 | K.P. abroad in Cape St. Clair
Rhythm sections are almost done for Dave Tieff's solo album, which is being tracked at Matt Ascione's studio in Cape St. Clair. The songs are a personal departure for Dave with a unique sound, and the album features a lot of great local talent! I am tracking and mixing the album alongside Matt; The album should be out sometime early next year, so stay tuned!

Steve Krain has begun recording a new EP at K.P. Studios! Steve is a solo acoustic act based out of Annapolis.

10/20/08 | Crunch time for The Courtesy Line!

10/11/08 | K.P. Productions records hymn for Philoptochos presentation!
The St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox church choir is in the studio to record a hymn for a presentation to be given at their 70th anniversary luncheon. The luncheon will be held October 18th at 11:30am at the Doubletree Hotel in Annapolis.

Scott Powers, the "Fuzz" from "Freak n' Fuzz" is releasing an album of solo works...Think Santana meets Frank Zappa.

09/27/08 | Jeff Archer recording song for Ugandan orphan relief effort!
Jeff is in the studio recording a song for an international charity organization to help Ugandan children who have been orphaned due to the AIDS epidemic, as well as preserving the natural habitat they live in. 09/12/08 | Earthtone's "last show!"
Be there at The Whiskey 1803 in Annapolis for Earthtone's final show (for the near future!) It's been an amazing ride for me, and the good times show no sign of stopping; Earthtone continues to blow thru tracks on their new album, reaching speeds sometimes in excess of a song-per-day! Look for a CD release show of epic proportions sometime around New Years or Q1 2009.

07/05/08 | We're all clones!
The Clones of Funk are going to be sniffing their way into the studio in July! The Clones are a no-holds-barred, stanky flight of funk that will take you on a voyage as fantastical as their predecessors (Funkadelic, Parliament, etc.) I saw them open up for Tower of Power at Ram's Head a while ago and they were out of control. Hopefully the studio will survive!

07/01/08 | Here comes Pro Tools|HD!
K.P.'s sister studio @ Jon's is taking the HD plunge this summer! A full 32-channel HD setup complete with Control|24 and Apogee AD-16/DA-16 conversion...what more could you possibly ask for? I'm looking forward to continuing to run sessions there for many years to come!

Flawless has been voted the best local band in Annapolis! Flawless is a hip-hop band that I occasionally play guitar for; They have shared the stage with the likes of Slick Rick, Chuck Brown, Paul Reed Smith, etc.. They also put on an annual festival in Annapolis: "The Flawless Festival." I will be mixing their long-awaited debut album, which is due out sometime this year. The Sexual Frustration, a Los Angeles-based band and Killer Penguin featured artist, has made the front page at ProjectPlaylist.com! There has been quite a buzz being generated about the band out on the west coast, and despite the lead singer going abroad the day after the album's release, the word is getting out just fine! 10/10/07 | Production for Project "OA" has begun!
K.P. Productions will be spearheading a new, innovative video game/concept album project scheduled for release in Q4 2009/Q1 2010. The game will be an immense, lush old-school-style RPG, and the album will serve as a soundtrack to the game. The storyline of the album and the game are closely tied. As far as I know, something like this has never been done before, and we are all very excited to see this project (which has been in it's early stages of production for 7 years) finally come to fruition! This project will take a lot of time and effort, and I'll make sure to post links to the official development website once it's up.

06/19/07 | Emmy-winning TV Show documentary gets soundtrack by K.P. artist!
The official documentary of Teenarama!, the premiere dance party show of the 50s and 60s, has just won an Emmy! The song "Teenarama!" by K.P. Production's Jeff Archer has been selected to be the new featured song for the show! I will be attending the official screening in D.C. this Saturday as an honorary guest; We will be playing the song, and I will be handing out CDs and, of course, DANCING!

06/12/07 | Mixing for "acoustic" portion of The Sexual Frustration's EP complete!
The Sexual Frustration will be posting three newly completed songs off of their new "Blood Stew EP" on Myspace this week. I'll be flying out to Los Angeles to record drums for the remaining tracks in August, and finishing up the album shortly thereafter.
